If you are parenting a child with ADHD, or if YOU have ADHD, congrats!
You're living in a creative, innovative, sky's-the-limit world!🎉 🤓 🔨 🎸 💭
Yet, kids with ADHD hear more than a lifetime's worth of negative comments even before the age of 5. Small things like, "Sit still!" But when your body isn't in the business of sitting still, without any support, this is an impossible task. Kids feel a ton of shame in those moments.
Our job as parents of kids with ADHD is to figure out ways to support them when they are required to live "inside the box"... but more importantly...
*Throw your socks in a community sock basket (thanks @projecthappyhome for this real life suggestion)
*keep your art supplies accessible and ready to use at any moment
*create a music room (or corner)
*quit extra tutoring (if it's not fruitful) and sign up for flag football
What does your child really need in order to live in their strengths?
I promise it's going to help a heckuva lot more than nagging them to finish their homework.*
*Need advice on homework? Sign up for coaching with me, and we'll work on that too!
On this call, we'll talk about your goals and concerns.
I'll share with you how coaching with me works. I can't
wait to get to know you!
